Garage Whifbitz Supra turbo kit for the non turbo Supra.

Using all of our years of experience producing turbo kits for the Supra TT, Skyline RB26 and more recently the R35 GTR and Toyota MRS, we have produced this kit with a budget in mind. The kit uses our own log style T4 manifold made from 304 stainless steel, these are built to last just like our 2JZ-GTE tubular manifolds. Log style manifolds can give a quicker response than tubular designs but are limited as to what they can flow. Thats fine for the power levels this kit is aiming to achieve though, in testing the kit is capable of producing 510bhp with other supporting mods. 

Straight out of the box as a bolt on turbo kit it will boost the power of the engine from the factory 220bhp to around 364bhp along with a large increase in torque from standard 210 lb/ft torque up to around 325 lb/ft torque, this is only running a light pressure turbo system of 0.5 bar boost so is perfectly safe for the high compression NA engine. This transforms a non-turbo Supra into a seriously fast car with very responsive engine performance achieving full boost around 3200rpm.

To achieve this you must fit an ecu upgrade to control the fuel/ignition timing. We supply the following ecu options:

  • For manual cars we highly recommend the Link G4+ ecu as it offers full control over all of the engine parameters, boost control, idle control, lambda control, anti-lag, etc. etc. The Link G4+ can be used on the manual cars as a "plug and play" install but does require the Supra TT ecu box to house the Link G4+ board. We can fit and map the Link at an extra cost but cant provide a tuned map. Together with the Link ecu we recommend the Link 3 Bar map sensor, AEM wideband controller and if you're fitting larger injectors the Link boost control solenoid.
  • For auto cars we recommend the Link Storm ecu. This is hardwired and used in conjunction with the stock ecu which remains in place controlling the gearbox only. The Link ecu controls everything else, idle, fuel injectors, ignition, boost, lamda, anti lag, etc. Together with the Link ecu we recommend the Link 3 Bar map sensor, AEM wideband controller and if you're fitting larger injectors the Link boost control solenoid.
Both of the above ecu's can be fitted and mapped here at Garage Whifbitz. We can also supply you a get you going map if required, please send us an email about this.

The kit will run more boost if required, its capable of making 510bhp with supporting mods. In testing we found by going up to 0.7 bar boost gives you around 400bhp, this requires the fitment of larger injectors. If you are planning on running more than 510bhp we would recommend fitting a tubular manifold.

The kit can be fitted here at our workshop or buy yourself supplied as a complete kit ready to bolt on. Being a non-turbo engine you will need to install an oil drain back into the engine, this requires the sump to be removed from the engine. Unfortunately you have to either remove the engine from the car or drop the front subframe down to remove the sump.

  • Whifbitz oil drain kit with billet oil drain flanges, Goodridge braided hoses and fittings

  • Whifbitz front mount intercooler with our own 70mm polished aluminium pipework

  • Turbosmart 45mm external wastegate with screamer pipe
  • Whifbitz 3” stainless steel downpipe, Midpipe and Borg Warner 3” Marmon clamp
  • Stainless steel dump tube venting to atmosphere
  • KN 4” air filter and polished aluminium intake pipe
  • NGK iridium spark plug set 

Optional extras include that are recommended:

  • Whifbitz stage 1 catch tank.
  • Whifbitz or DEi titanium turbo blanket to help keep temperatures down under the bonnet.
  • For 5 speed manual gearbox cars we recommend an upgraded clutch as the stock one will not take the extra power.
