1994 Toyota Supra Mk4 Twin Turbo – Wheels & Big Brake Upgrade at Whifbitz

We recently had a true JDM icon in the Whifbitz workshop – a 1994 Toyota Supra Mk4 Twin Turbo. A car of this calibre deserves upgrades that enhance performance and stance while remaining true to its original character.

The aim for this build was clear:
✔️ Improve stance without compromising usability
✔️ Upgrade braking to match the Supra’s performance
✔️ Use proven, high-quality components

Work Carried Out

Wheels – Work S1 19” (3-Piece)

The Supra was fitted with a set of Work S1 3-piece wheels in 19”, sized specifically to suit the Mk4 chassis:

  • Front: 9.5×19
  • Rear: 11×19
  • Offsets: Correctly specified for standard wheel arches

This setup delivers a strong, aggressive stance while retaining full usability with the factory arches — no cutting, rolling, or compromises. The deep polished lips paired with dark centres give a timeless motorsport look that suits the Supra perfectly.

Brakes – Whifbitz AP Racing Big Brake Kit (Front & Rear)

To complement the Supra’s performance, we installed our Whifbitz AP Racing brake kit front and rear, featuring:

  • 356mm AP Racing discs (non-floating)
  • AP Racing 6-pot front calipers
  • AP Racing 4-pot rear calipers
  • Porterfield R4S fast road brake pads
  • Motorsport-grade hardware throughout

The 356mm disc setup provides a substantial increase in braking torque and heat capacity over the factory system. Combined with the Porterfield R4S pads, the result is strong initial bite, consistent pedal feel, and excellent road manners with low noise and dust — ideal for fast road use.
