2020 Toyota GR Supra A90 Remap – ECU Unlock & MHD Tuning Results

We recently had a completely standard 2020 Toyota GR Supra A90 in at Garage Whifbitz for a performance upgrade — and the results speak for themselves.

The Setup

This Supra came to us totally stock from factory, running the BMW-derived B58 engine in its original form. As with most newer A90 Supras, the ECU is locked from factory, so the first step was carrying out a bench unlock of the ECU to allow tuning access.

Once unlocked, we installed an MHD Tuning off-the-shelf (OTS) map, a proven and reliable solution for customers looking for strong gains without going custom.

Dyno Results

We always start with a baseline dyno run to see exactly what the car is producing in standard form.

🔹 Stock Power Figures:

  • 319 WHP
  • Equivalent to roughly 383 BHP at the crank — right in line with what we expect from a healthy factory Supra.

🔹 After MHD Remap:

  • 367 WHP
  • Approximately 438 BHP

The Gains

That’s a solid increase of:

  • +48 WHP
  • +55 BHP

All achieved on a completely standard vehicle with no hardware modifications.

The difference on the road is immediately noticeable — sharper throttle response, stronger mid-range pull, and significantly improved top-end performance. Dyno graph below shows power at the rear wheels.
