So another Toyota GR Yaris just finished off here at Whifbitz which is now making some nice useable reliable power. The car already has some mods done before it arrived – Whifbitz stainless steel exhaust, GPF delete with resonator, Weldspeed inlet manifold, Airtec intercooler and an Airtec intake kit.
Its in with us for some more power using Kelford A type cams, Kelford valve springs and a Whifbitz decat pipes along with a fully mappable Syvecs stand alone ecu.
The GR Yaris had previously been tuned on Ecutek which remaps the stock Toyota ecu, it was making 252whp which is an estimated 305bhp which is a bit down on what we normally get out of them. With the same mods we would normally expect around 270/275whp with an estimated figure of 320/330bhp.
And now with the Syvecs ecu fitted along with the Kelford A cams, springs and decat pipe its making 306whp which is an estimated 367bhp with exhaust, GPF delete, decat pipe, Kelford a cams, Kelford springs, Airtec intercooler and an Airtec intake kit, it’s turned this into a proper pocket rocket!
