The ADVAN Racing RS appeared in 2001 as a flagship model that is a leader in the brand, and the RS will also be brushed up as RSII in 2009. RSⅡ started to supply to WTCC and made the world aware of the existence of ADVAN Racing RS with its precise design and performance.
And in 2019, the third generation will finally appear in RS. Of course, the basic 10-spoke design is universal, but this model change has greatly changed that image. From the data of the most advanced strength analysis, it is known that the height of the vertical cross section of the spoke is greatly related to the strength, and RSⅢ is designed to have the highest spoke cross section among the three models. On the other hand, the spoke width from the front of the wheel is even narrower than that of RSII, which makes it possible to achieve outstanding slim spokes. Moreover, despite the slender cross-sectional area on both sides of the spokes, side-cutting is also applied to show the high level of cutting-edge casting wheel technology. Of course, the side cut is an “advanced side cut” process in which the crotch part of the spokes is seamlessly squeezed, and the progress over the RSII side cut where the crotch part was not connected can be seen here as well.
In RSII, the two-face spoke concave setting of STANDARD-Design and GTR-Design was used, but in RSIII, Super GTR-Design was newly added to make it a three-face setting. This makes it possible to select a more powerful face by size. In addition, there is no doubt that the color variations will make an impression of a big leap from RSII.

The ADVAN Racing RS, the flagship model of the brand, was launched in 2001. That RS model became the RSⅡ in 2009 after some refinements to the original design. WTCC competition showcased the RSⅡ’s design and performance, and put ADVAN Racing in the global spotlight Then, in 2019, the third generation of RS wheels arrived. Of course it maintains the 10-spoke design, but this new model change brings a completely new look. Based on the latest analytical data on strength — and the fact that strength is closely connected to the vertical cross section of the spokes — the spokes on the new RSⅢ wheels have the tallest vertical cross section of the three RS models. On the other hand, viewed from the front, the spokes are narrower than those of the RSⅡ, giving the wheels a sharper look. And despite the narrow cross-section,Both sides of the spokes are side-cut machined, underscoring Yokohama’s advanced forged wheel technology. Called “advanced side cut processing,” this is clearly visible on even the slimmest parts of the spokes, a departure from the RSⅡ spokes, which were not connected RSII wheels offered two concave spoke face designs: STANDARD-Design and GTR-Design. RSⅢ wheels, on the other hand offer three faces thanks to the addition of the Super GTR- at the center, and did not have such side-cut features. Design.
