BMW M4 F80 maintenance work

We had this lovely BMW M4 F80 in the Whifbitz workshop last week for some maintenance work:

  • Rebuild turbos – its a common issue on the S55 engine cars, the turbos fail with high levels of oil usage and when they get really bad smoke from the exhaust.
  • New sump and rover cover gaskets as they were leaking, another common issue we seeing more of now as the car’s are getting older.
  • Rear diff bushes were cracked which again is another common issue so we fitted an upgraded Poweflex poly bush kit with dual bushes
  • It had a modified exhaust mid section which was leaking so we fitted one of our Whifbitz single midpipes, these give it a nice deep tone over the original exhaust.
  • New engine oil cooler as the original was corroded.
  • All new rear lower suspension arms as the bushes were all cracked.
  • Wheel alignment.
  • Engine oil change using Millers engine oil.
