GR Yaris Achieves 345bhp with Full Whifbitz Upgrade Package

Another Toyota GR Yaris has been in the workshop at Garage Whifbitz for a full performance upgrade — and this one delivered some exceptional results on the dyno.

Installed Upgrades

For this build, we fitted a proven combination of performance parts:

  • Whifbitz stainless steel exhaust system
  • AIRTEC intercooler
  • Milltek resonated GPF pipe
  • Eventuri carbon intake kit
  • EcuTek ECU remap

This package is designed to significantly improve airflow, cooling efficiency, and overall engine performance.

Dyno Results – Before Mapping

Once the hardware was installed, we carried out an initial power run on our Dynojet 4WD dyno.

The GR Yaris produced:
244whp / 295bhp

This is already the highest figure we’ve recorded for a GR Yaris with this specification before ECU tuning.

Custom EcuTek Remap Results

Next, we carried out a custom ECU calibration using EcuTek software, optimising the setup for maximum performance.

After tuning, the results jumped to:
287whp / 345bhp

That’s an increase of over 50bhp and puts this car around 15–20bhp higher than we typically see from this combination of parts.

A “Golden Engine”?

Every now and then, an engine performs above expectations — and this GR Yaris is a perfect example. The gains achieved suggest this could be one of those rare “golden engines” that responds exceptionally well to tuning.
