GR Yaris Exhaust & Performance Upgrades

We’ve had another Toyota GR Yaris in at Whifbitz for a set of carefully selected upgrades designed to improve exhaust flow, response and overall driving experience.

This car arrived with a solid foundation already in place, featuring an Eventuri intake kit and an Airtec intercooler, providing excellent supporting airflow and charge cooling from the outset.

Upgrades Fitted by Whifbitz

During this visit, we carried out the following upgrades:

  • Akrapovic titanium exhaust system
  • HJS sports cat
  • Turbosmart dual-port blow-off valve (BOV)
  • Ecutek ECU remap

The Akrapovic titanium system delivers a sharper, more refined exhaust note while reducing weight, and the HJS sports cat improves exhaust flow without compromising everyday usability. The Turbosmart dual-port BOV improves boost control and adds a clean, distinctive sound.

ECU Calibration & Features

The car was calibrated using Ecutek software, allowing full control of the ECU and enabling performance features including:

  • Rolling anti-lag
  • Flat-foot shifting

Following the upgrades and calibration, the GR Yaris produced:

  • 284whp
  • 342bhp

Final Notes

This combination of upgrades works extremely well alongside the existing intake and intercooler, delivering improved sound, sharper throttle response, and a noticeable increase in performance without compromising reliability or usability.
