GR Yaris Interior, Exhaust & Drivetrain Upgrades

We’ve recently had another Toyota GR Yaris into the Whifbitz workshop for a carefully selected package of upgrades aimed at improving sound, driving position, visibility and drivetrain response, while keeping the car clean, usable and well balanced.

Overview

This build wasn’t about chasing headline power figures, but instead focused on refining the overall driving experience. The owner wanted improvements they could feel every time they drove the car, whether on the road or during more spirited use.

Upgrades Fitted by Whifbitz

As part of this visit, we carried out the following installations:

  • Whifbitz lightweight titanium exhaust system
  • Eventuri carbon intake kit
  • SW Motorsport seat lowering kit
  • Whifbitz mirror riser
  • Powerflex engine, gearbox and torque mount inserts

Exhaust & Intake

One of our Whifbitz titanium exhaust systems was fitted to reduce weight and deliver a sharper, more engaging exhaust note without compromising usability. Paired with an Eventuri carbon intake kit, the car benefits from improved airflow, enhanced induction sound, and a noticeable lift in overall character.

Driver Ergonomics & Visibility

To improve the driving position, an SW Motorsport seat lowering kit was installed. This lowers the seating position, helping the driver feel more connected to the car and improving comfort, particularly for taller drivers.

A Whifbitz mirror riser was also fitted, raising the rear-view mirror to improve forward visibility — a simple but highly effective modification that makes a real difference in everyday driving.

Drivetrain Improvements

To sharpen the way the car responds under load, Powerflex engine, gearbox and torque mount inserts were installed. These reduce excessive drivetrain movement, improving throttle response and gearshift feel while maintaining road usability.
