GR Yaris Performance Upgrades at Whifbitz
Another Toyota GR Yaris has been in the Whifbitz workshop for some performance upgrades.
This particular car arrived already fitted with a Milltek exhaust system and GPF pipe. We installed an Eventuri carbon intake kit and carried out a custom ECU remap using Ecutek tuning software.
On the dyno, the Yaris initially made 252whp (305bhp) — slightly below what we typically see from this setup and the engine not being very happy.
After speaking with the customer, we agreed to fit an Airtec intercooler, and the results speak for themselves. With no changes to the remap, power increased to 268whp (323bhp) — right on target for this combination of modifications. This just goes to show how much difference an uprated intercooler can make in unlocking the full potential of the GR Yaris!
