GR Yaris Track Prep at Whifbitz

Another Toyota GR Yaris has made its way into the Whifbitz workshop, this time for a selection of smart upgrades to get it ready for serious track use. These mods are aimed at improving reliability and handling performance during high-stress driving conditions.

Modifications carried out:

  • ✅ Lamspeed Racing baffled sump
    The GR Yaris is known to suffer from low oil pressure under heavy braking, especially during track sessions. To combat this, we’ve fitted a Lamspeed baffled sump, a crucial upgrade to ensure proper oil control and protect the engine under high-G braking zones.
  • ✅ Engine oil service
    Fresh Millers engine oil was used, paired with a genuine Toyota oil filter to keep the engine running smoothly and reliably under track conditions.
  • ✅ Powerflex camber bolts
    We also installed Powerflex camber bolts, allowing us to set up a more track-oriented wheel alignment for sharper cornering and improved tyre contact on track.

These upgrades offer improved durability, better handling, and increased peace of mind when pushing the Yaris to its limits.
