Japanese-Spec Subaru Impreza STI “Bugeye” in at Whifbitz for Rocker Cover Oil Leak Repair
We recently had this stunning Japanese-spec Subaru Impreza STI “Bugeye” in at the Whifbitz workshop to sort out an oil leak from the rocker covers.
This is a fairly common issue on Subaru boxer engines as the rocker cover gaskets age over time. Left unchecked, these leaks can lead to oil smells, drips, and a generally messy engine bay, so it’s always worth dealing with properly before it gets worse.
For this Impreza STI, we’ll be removing the rocker covers, cleaning everything thoroughly, and fitting fresh gaskets to make sure everything seals correctly again.
It’s always great to see iconic JDM Subarus like this still being driven, maintained, and looked after properly. The “Bugeye” STI remains a favourite among Subaru enthusiasts, and examples like this deserve the right care and attention.
If your Subaru Impreza, WRX, or STI has an oil leak or needs maintenance, repairs, or specialist work, get in touch with Garage Whifbitz.
