Lotus Elise Back In For Remap With New Syvecs S7+ And Fresh Engine

We recently had this very tasty Lotus Elise back in with us for a remap after being fitted with a new Syvecs S7+ ECU, along with a fresh engine to replace the old tired setup.

This Elise has been with us before, previously running a forged Toyota 1ZZ engine with a Rotrex supercharger and a Syvecs S6 ECU, so it was great to see it back again with its latest upgrades.

After carrying out the remap and fine-tuning the calibration on the new setup, the car produced exactly the same power as before — a solid 236whp, which equates to around 280bhp at the flywheel.

That consistency is a great result, showing the new engine and Syvecs S7+ setup are performing perfectly while maintaining the strong performance it had previously.

With this sort of power in a lightweight Lotus Elise weighing around 750kg, it delivers an impressive power-to-weight ratio of around 373bhp per ton, making it an absolute weapon on track.

Be sure to check out the dyno video below for a closer look — and a listen — to this fantastic setup in action.
