Toyota Aristo – 2JZ-GTE VVTi Cambelt & Water Pump Replacement

We recently had this Toyota Aristo in the workshop – a great example of one of Toyota’s finest sleeper saloons. Often described as a 4-door Supra, the Aristo is powered by the legendary 2JZ-GTE VVTi engine, making it a serious performance car wrapped in a luxury shell.

The customer had recently purchased the vehicle and, as is often the case with imports, there was no clear history of when the cambelt and water pump were last changed. With an engine like the 2JZ, preventative maintenance is key, so the decision was made to get this important job done for peace of mind.

Work Carried Out

  • Cambelt replacement using Genuine Toyota parts
  • Genuine Toyota Water pump replacement
  • Full inspection while stripped down

As the car is a fairly fresh import, having only been in the UK for around 5 years, we were pleased to find that the underside of the vehicle was in excellent condition, with no nasty surprises – always good to see on performance imports.

This job now means the new owner can enjoy their Aristo with confidence, knowing the engine is properly maintained and ready for many more miles.
