We had this stunning 2020 Toyota GR Supra A90 in the Whifbitz workshop yesterday for some tuning work, and it’s a great example of how to balance performance, drivability, and road legality.
This Supra is already a head-turner, but this one stands out even more thanks to a selection of tasteful upgrades, including a rear lip spoiler (brand unknown), bronze Vossen 19″ wheels, and HKS coilovers, giving it a really aggressive stance.

Current Setup
This car came in with a solid list of performance modifications already fitted, including:
- Whifbitz Type 1 stainless steel exhaust system
- Catless downpipe
- MST intake kit
- Forge Motorsport charge pipe
This setup delivered strong performance and an aggressive exhaust note, but the customer wanted to make the car MOT compliant while also reducing noise levels for better road usability.

What We Did
To meet the customer’s requirements, we carried out the following work:
- Supplied and fitted one of our Whifbitz sports catalytic converters
- Converted the setup back to a fully road legal (MOT compliant) configuration
- Reduced exhaust volume while maintaining a sporty tone
- Retuned the vehicle using MHD tuning software
- Developed a custom map tailored to the car’s full hardware setup
Custom Map Features & Power Figures
As part of the tuning process, we created a bespoke calibration that includes:
- Two switchable power modes
- Controlled directly via the steering wheel controls
Low Power Mode:
- 381whp – 455bhp
- Ideal for daily driving and smoother power delivery
High Power Mode:
- 418whp – 499bhp
- Unlocks the car’s full performance when required
The dyno graph below shows power measured at the rear wheels.

This setup gives the driver the flexibility to switch between comfort and performance instantly.
The Result
The finished result is a Supra that delivers:
- Strong, reliable performance
- A more refined and usable exhaust note
- Full MOT compliance
- Seamless on-the-fly map switching
What’s Next?
This Supra will be back with us soon for further upgrades as the customer is planning to take it on track. Upcoming work includes:
- Suspension upgrades
- Porterfield race brake pads
We’re looking forward to taking this build to the next level.
