Toyota GR Yaris – Big Power & Track-Ready Setup at Whifbitz

Another Toyota GR Yaris has been through the Whifbitz workshop, this time for a full round of upgrades to improve performance, handling, and braking.

Power Upgrades

When the car arrived, it was already running some great mods, including:

  • Milltek exhaust system with GPF delete pipe
  • Airtec intercooler
  • Weldspeed inlet manifold

To push things further, we fitted an Eventuri carbon fibre intake kit and carried out a custom Ecutek remap.

📈 Results:

  • Before: 205whp (≈ 250bhp)
  • After: 279whp (≈ 336bhp)

That’s a massive gain in power and torque, transforming the GR Yaris into an even more exciting machine.

Handling Upgrades

To match the extra performance, the chassis received some serious attention:

  • Nitron R1 coilovers (spring rates selected for track use)
  • Whiteline sway bars
  • Powerflex camber bolts
  • Track-biased alignment

This setup sharpens cornering, improves balance, and makes the GR Yaris track-ready while still being usable on the road.

Braking Upgrades

With more power and grip comes the need for better stopping power. We installed:

  • Braided brake lines
  • Porterfield R4 track brake pads
  • High-temp brake fluid
  • BCB caliper pistons with high-temp seals

These upgrades ensure fade-free braking performance, lap after lap.

Servicing

While it was in the workshop, we also carried out a full oil service on the gearbox, differential, and transfer box, keeping everything running smooth and reliable.
