Another lovely Toyota GR Yaris in the Whifbitz workshop this week for a load of mods improving power and the handling.
The mods we’ve fitted relating to the engine power are the sweet spot for the GR Yaris, we’ve fitted this car with the Eventuri carbon intake kit, these may be expensive when compared to others but there’s a few reasons behind that.
- They actually increase the power with them normally giving about 10-15bhp over the Toyota airbox, this is the only intake kit we’ve tried that actually does that
- The quality is fantastic and the look amazing
- The sound great, not over the top with some nice turbo noises

We’ve also fitted an Airtec intercooler which keeps the intake air temps more stable than the OEM Toyota intercooler which in turn increases power and keeps it more stable. A Whifbitz GPF pipe which adds about 5bhp to the total increase and then we’ve remapped it using the excellent Ecutek tuning software, you can read more about that here Ecutek ECU Tune Toyota GR Yaris & GR Corolla – Garage Whifbitz
This car already had a lovely set of Bride carbon backed bucket seats fitted along with a Milltek resonated exhaust. We’ve added a CoolerWorx shifter and a TRD carbon interior trim kit which helps to get rid of the plasticky look somewhat.

On the chassis side of things we’ve fitted a set of Eibach lowering springs and Cusco uprated sway bars, these really improve the handling helping to reduce body roll.
Its also had an SW Motorsport rear seat delete and rear brace bar to stiffen up the rear of the car and it looks rather good too!

And to make it look nicer a set of Eibach wheel spacers to make the wheels sit nice and flush to the arches.

So the power went from the factory 260 to 320bhp with all of these mods fitted along with the Ecutek remap, the dyno graph below show the power at the wheels.
