Toyota GR Yaris in at Whifbitz for Remap & Mods
We had this stunning Toyota GR Yaris in with us recently for a package of upgrades to unlock more performance and driving enjoyment.
When it first arrived, the car was already fitted with a Mongoose exhaust system. We ran it on our dyno in this state to get a baseline figure before carrying out any further work. It made 224whp (272bhp).
We then installed a carefully selected range of performance parts:
- Eventuri intake kit – for improved airflow and sharper throttle response
- Kelford EZ cams and valve springs – enhancing top-end power and reliability at higher rpm
- Whifbitz resonated GPF pipe – freeing up flow while keeping the exhaust note refined
- Airtec intercooler with big boost pipe kit – maximising cooling efficiency and preventing heat soak
- Turbosmart blow-off valve – ensuring reliable boost control and that iconic sound
- Coolerworx short shifter – transforming the gear shift feel with tighter, more precise changes
- Ecutek remap – custom tuning to extract maximum performance from the upgraded hardware
After the upgrades and ECU calibration, the GR Yaris now makes an impressive 288whp (347bhp) – a 75bhp gain over its starting point.
The result is a GR Yaris that not only pulls harder across the rev range but also feels sharper and more rewarding to drive on both road and track.
