We’ve had another Toyota GR Yaris through the Whifbitz workshop, this time for a carefully selected set of upgrades aimed at improving airflow, usability, and OEM+ performance.
The GR Yaris is already an incredible bit of engineering, but as always, there’s room to refine and enhance key areas without compromising reliability or drivability.
Weldspeed Intake Manifold Upgrade
The headline modification on this GR Yaris is the Weldspeed intake manifold.
Designed to improve airflow efficiency and optimise intake charge distribution, the Weldspeed manifold is a proven upgrade for owners looking to unlock more consistent performance across the rev range. Precision fabricated and built with motorsport in mind, it’s a perfect match for the GR Yaris platform.
Installed and checked in-house by our team, ensuring correct fitment and peace of mind.
Whifbitz Bonnet Dampers
We also fitted a set of Whifbitz bonnet dampers, replacing the factory bonnet prop.
A small upgrade that makes a big difference:
- Smooth, gas-assisted bonnet opening
- Cleaner engine bay access
- OEM-style finish with improved usability
It’s one of those mods you don’t realise you need… until you have it.
Genuine Toyota GR Ducted Engine Undertray
Rounding out the work was the installation of a Genuine Toyota GR ducted engine undertray.
This factory motorsport-inspired component improves:
- Engine bay airflow management
- Cooling efficiency
- Underbody aerodynamics
A smart OEM upgrade that complements the GR Yaris’s rally-bred design while maintaining full factory quality.
