We’ve recently had this completely standard Toyota GR Yaris in the Whifbitz workshop and the goal with this car was to make it more powerful and more suited to the track with some basic but tasty modifications.
So lets covers the power side of things first, the standard car from the factory produces around 265bhp on our dyno and we’ve boosted power to 320bhp using our usual range of highly recommended parts to achieve this, check the list below:
- Whifbitz titanium exhaust system
- Whifbitz resonated stainless steel GPF pipe
- Eventuri carbon intake kit
- Airtec Motorsport intercooler kit
- Airtec Motorsport big boost pipe kit
- Ecu remap using Ecutek which comes with 2 switchable maps, rolling anti lag and flat foot shifting included

We’ve also fitted a Lamspeed Racing baffled sump kit which is a must for long term engine health, without this the oil pressure drops very low under braking which over time will cause wear on the engine and possibly engine failure. An Airtec Motorsport oil cooler kit has also been installed to keep the engine oil temps under control.

On the chassis upgrades side of things we’ve fitted one of the best brands of coilovers, Ohlins and as you can see they look very nice too! These offer height adjustment and stiffness/rebound adjustments so you can really dial your car into the track. We’ve also fitted Cusco anti roll bars, Eibach camber adjusting bolts on the front and a track focused wheel alignment.
The brakes have been upgraded with:
- Porterfield R4 race brake pads which will provide better and more consistent stopping power with improved pedal feel
- Hel Performance braided brake lines
- Hel Performance carbon brake pad shims which limit heat transfer into the caliper
- Millers high temp fluid
- String Theory front brake ducts
- BCB upgraded caliper pistons and high temp seals, the Toyota seals melt under hard usage!

Inside the car we’ve fitted a SW Motorsport rear half cage, rear brace for extra stiffness and safety and its finished off with a rear seat delete.

So this car will be transformed when the customer takes it on the track next time with a 60bhp boost in power, more noise, greater stopping power, stiffer chassis and much improved handling.
