Another Toyota GR Yaris in with us recently, this car was totally standard when it arrived and left with more horsepower, sounding better and looking better.
We fitted our Whifbitz stainless steel exhaust system with the blue tip option on this car, in case you didn’t know our exhaust is also available with plain and carbon tip options. Our exhausts now come with 2 options in the box so you have the choice of an extra resonator or without, this customer went with the extra resonator along with a resonated GPF pipe too.

We also fitted the best intake kit on the market made by Eventuri, these give about 10-15bhp extra power on there own unlike other intakes we’ve tested on our dyno. It may be expensive but its worth every penny. We also fitted an Airtec intercooler kit to keep the intake temps down as low as possible which helps the engine produce more power more of the time.

Before we map a car we always do a power run on our dyno so we have a nice baseline power figure to work from and to make sure there are no issues with the car. A standard GR Yaris normally produces around 265bhp on our dyno and this car with just the mods listed above fitted made 294bhp, gains of 29bhp, the graph below shows the power at the wheels and we use a calculation to get the flywheel bhp figure.

And after an afternoon mapping this GR Yaris using the Ecutek tuning platform we gained an extra 42bhp with it making 279whp which equates to 336bhp at the flywheel. Thats a 71bhp increase over the standard car with these 3 mods and the Ecutek remap, we believe this is the perfect combination of parts to get to this power figure.

Whilst the GR Yaris was here we also fitted one of our carbon fibre TM style rear spoilers, available to purchase on our website here Garage Whifbitz TM Style Carbon Rear Spoiler GR Yaris – Garage Whifbitz
