Toyota GR Yaris Returns for Power Upgrades at Whifbitz

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming this stunning Toyota GR Yaris back to the Whifbitz workshop for another round of enhancements—this time with a focus on increasing power and performance.

From Tuning Box to Custom Ecutek Calibration

The car arrived with an aftermarket tuning box already fitted, producing 285bhp. To properly evaluate its effectiveness, we carried out a back-to-back comparison with one of our custom Ecutek tunes. After applying the Ecutek calibration, power increased significantly to 324bhp, with noticeable improvements in responsiveness and drivability.

Performance Parts Installed

To take things even further, we fitted a well-matched set of hardware upgrades:

  • Kelford EZ Camshafts and Valve Springs
  • Airtec Intercooler and Pipe Kit
  • Airtec Turbo Elbow

Following another round of mapping to optimise the new setup, the GR Yaris produced an impressive 347bhp—a substantial gain over the original tuning box configuration
