We’ve just completed initial dyno testing on Lee Burley’s 3.4-litre Toyota Supra MK4, now running the new Turbosmart 6870 turbocharger for the first time — and the results speak for themselves.
On 99RON pump fuel, the car has produced a very healthy 745 wheel horsepower (878bhp) with an exceptionally usable power delivery.
A Properly Driveable 745whp
Peak power came in at 745whp with strong torque throughout the mid-range, delivering a smooth, progressive power curve rather than a peaky, hard-to-manage setup.
This is exactly what we aim for with our 2JZ builds — serious performance that remains usable and enjoyable on the road.
The 3.4L stroker setup combined with the Turbosmart 6870 has proven to be an excellent match, spooling well and carrying power cleanly through the upper RPM range.

Fuel System Currently the Limiting Factor
Importantly, this isn’t the limit of the turbo or engine combination.
The current result is restricted by the fuel system, which is now maxed out at this power level. With further upgrades planned, there is more performance to unlock from this setup.
