Mahle pistons for the 2JZ

Available through us for the 2JZ engine, Mahle Pro Series pistons/rings, click here for prices.

now if you’ve never heard of Mahle before, take a look around there website here http://www.mahlemotorsports.com/C125…HHD3G103STULEN

You’ll notice that these pistons are used VERY successfully in motorsport around, Ferrari F1 team uses them for instance, need I say more?

There available off the shelf and in stock so no waiting around from the USA, £600 + VAT and delivery, not a bad price considering what you get, why would you want anything else?

The MAHLE ProSeries piston was developed to meet the demanding needs of professional racers. The set is race-ready and designed for all kinds of fast road and motorsport use. MAHLE Motorsports gives you a competitive edge with pistons that are meticulously finish prepared right out of the box. MAHLE machines the correct valve reliefs, dome profiles, and ring grooves for upper level competition

The pins are CNC machined with proper clearances, and every piston is hand deburred. Plus, with factory applied phosphate and GRAFAL® skirt coatings, you eliminate the expense and uncertainty of aftermarket coatings.

ProSeries features includes:

•Race proven quality pistons forged from 2618 aluminum alloy (the 2 barrel pistons are made form 4032)
•Ring grooves machined for light-weight low-drag racing ring packs
•Asymmetrical valve pockets
•Lateral gas ports for improved sealing, generating improved horsepower
•Precision milling for additional weight savings
•GRAFAL® anti-friction coating on skirts*
•Phosphate-coated to reduce micro-welding and pin galling**
* MAHLE’s GRAFAL® skirt coating – reduces drag, scuffing, friction and cylinder bore wear.

** Phosphate coating provides the grey appearance to the MAHLE piston. This dry lubricant coating (not to be confused with a thermal film coating) provides a lubricant film in the pin bores and ring grooves until the oiling system of the engine reaches operating pressure; particularly useful during the initial start-up or break-in of engines to protect against galling and micro-welding. The piston crown is still machineable.

MAHLE means performance, and with over 80 years of rich heritage, MAHLE possess several attributes which gives the racers the competitive advantage they seek. The following characteristics are the “Features and Benefits” of the MAHLE piston which separate us from the competitors.

ULTRA FLAT RING GROOVES, THE KEY TO POWER

Every MAHLE Motorsport piston is machined to exacting tolerances with focused attention given to the radial flatness of the ring grooves. A flat ring groove is essential in achieving and maintaining the best seal possible. The quality of the ring grooves is so critical to peak and lasting performance, that MAHLE designed and built the machinery used to machine the ring grooves for its MotorSport piston assemblies. Combined with ultra flat MAHLE rings that are included in every PowerPak piston kit, MAHLE delivers the formula for the best sealing power cell on the market.

MAHLE Motorsports’ proprietary Grafal® anti-friction skirt coating is like no other on the market. It is graphite impregnated to reduce drag like many other skirt coatings, but this is where the similarities end. The screen print application provides superior adhesion and is designed to last 100,000+ miles. Because Grafal® is a compressible membrane with a unique cushioning property, harsh contact between the piston skirt and the bore is dramatically reduced. Resulting in much less wear on the bore and significantly reduces piston skirt fatigue.

MAHLE Motorsport, creators of the “Slipper Skirt” forging design, uses strong, lightweight, low drag forgings in every PowerPak piston kit. Not all piston manufacturers can make that claim. A Slipper Skirt forging offers many benefits over the standard “Full Round” design, but the technology runs much deeper than looks alone. These benefits are only achieved through the proper management of the design; any misapplication can result in a similar looking part with poor performance. Trust the leader in piston technology, MAHLE Motorsport

Piston failures can often be traced back to poor and inconsistent pin bore quality or design. The pin bores on every MAHLE Motorsport piston are finishmachined using CNC equipment specially designed andmanufactured by MAHLE to precisely control shape, size and alignment. This added control allows for advanced designs and flexibility, resulting in unmatched consistency andperformance. MAHLE manages every small detail with the type of precision and expertise you would expect from the world’s
piston technology leader.
