Ecutek ECU Tune Toyota GR Yaris & GR Corolla

Garage Whifbitz are official Ecutek master tuners and we’ve been busy developing tunes for the Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla.

As you probably know the Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla uses the brilliant Toyota G16E-GTS engine and using our years of experience in tuning other Toyota engines we’ve now released our Ecutek tuning packages. The Ecutek tuning platform brings greater flexibility and many more features over other tuning platforms available and its being constantly updated by Ecutek with new features being added.

When we tested the Toyota GR Yaris back in 2020 when it was released, as a standard car it made 217whp & 249lb/ft torque at the wheels, as you can see there are big gains available with tuning. Our Dynojet rolling road gives its power figures at the wheels, to get an estimated flywheel figure we use our own trusty calculation, so 217whp is about 264bhp at the flywheel, very close to what Toyota states. The tune also smooths out the power delivery, check the 2 dyno graphs below, the top one is the factory car and the lower graph is our map.

The power figures will vary depending on what modifications you have fitted to the car, its hard to give exact power figures as there are so many different variations of parts available.

Stage 1 – standard car – 250whp & 252lb/ft torque at the wheels, 300bhp at the flywheel approx. with 2 switchable maps included in the price.

Stage 2 – exhaust, gpf delete, intake kit and intercooler – 270whp & 272lb/ft torque at the wheels, 320bhp at the flywheel approx. with 2 switchable maps included in the price. This power can vary depending on what parts are fitted, fuel used and are really dependant on what intake kit is fitted, Eventuri intake kits are highly recommended, its only one we’ve tested that actually increases the power!

Stage 3 – Kelford EZ cams and Kelford valve springs – 285whp & 280 lb/ft torque at the wheels, 350bhp at the flywheel approx.

Stage 4 – Midland Turbo hybrid turbo – 310whp & 290 lb/ft torque at the wheels, 370-380bhp approx at the flywheel.

All of our custom tunes are tuned in our state of the art dyno cell using our Dynojet rolling road, dyno tuning is included in the price, we can also remote tune your GR Yaris & Corolla if required and you will need an Ecutek programming kit to remote tune.
