Twin Wastegate/scroll manifold is here

My new twin scroll, twin wastegate manifold has arrived, cant wait to try this out to see what the spool differences are compared to a single wastegate, if it works I will be offering as an option on my turbo kits. Sexy or what:

Bullseye S368 Turbo arrived

My Bullseye S368 turbo just turned up, lovely jubbly. To give you an idea of the size of this turbo, I thought I’d stick a Precision T67 next to it, as you can see its quite big, makes the T67 look a bit limp wristed. The compressor housing is the race cover version which is […]

New turbo

after alot of research I’ve ordered up a Bullseye Borg Warner Air Werks S368 0.90 A/R turbo. I’m after the bhp I have now(800bhp) with better spool and more torque which I’m hoping this turbo will provide. Should look the nuts to, its got a 5.5″ inlet! If you’ve never heard of Bullseye turbos before, […]

More carbon parts

Picked up my carbon radiator shroud today and you will see looks so much better than the stock unit. Also made a blanking panel for my dash where the top glove box used to be, trying to tidy it up a bit. Might get the dash done in carbon next I think.

More Detailing

Been doing a few little bits to my car recently, just detailing stuff really. I removed and painted the brake servo, painted the engine bay with a nice new fresh coat of paint. Also tidied the wiring around the fuse box plus relocated the ignitor pack completely out of sight which helps to clean up […]

More Power

Right as promised, here is the dyno print out from todays dyno meet at Surrey Rolling Road. I’ve changed nothing here but the cams, if you haven’t read this thread or cant be arsed to go back over it all. All thats changed is the cams, I’ve gone from using HKS 280 9.3mm lift to […]

More work completed

Got a few bits done last week. I’ve had the air filter intake properly moulded into the bonnet and repainted, looks sooooooooo much neater now Before and after pictures below. Also, gave the drivers side inner wing a new coat of paint, amazing what a difference this can make and fitted some bonnet dampers, makes […]

More mods planned

Now our Time Attack season is over, we had a blinding year finishing 2nd overall in class behind Steve, what might have been without the turbo failure testing at Knockhill, Steve watchout for next year mate. Anyway, got some more plans as usual on the car: 1. Lose some more weight. Main one will be […]

Time Attack RWD Champions 2009 – Snetterton

Following a mixed result at Brands Hatch due to Paul Whiffin not having the use of his own car due to engine problems, the cars were duly returned to the workshop for some checks and servicing before the final round which was fortunately several months off! Steve Linton’s car turned up some nasty results whilst […]

Snetterton track day

Just got back from Snetterton getting ready for Sundays Time Attack. Pretty good day, working on the traction control setup which is definately working well now(thanks Ryan). Worked on the balance of the car in the afternoon and I’ve got a very base setting(which I’m sure Steve will be stealing!) for Sunday now, got plenty […]

More dyno tuning

OK, just got back from the dyno, its now running 750bhp at 1.5 bar boost. The boost is dropping off quite a bit as you’ll see from the dyno sheet I’ll post up later. If it could hold the 1.7 bar I want to run, it should hit 800bhp quite comfortably I would have thought. […]

Back from the dyno

Just back from the dyno. Started off well, making 600bhp at 1 bar boost, should have seen Ryan & Charlies faces! At 1.5 bar made about 700bhp, with plenty more to come from some more ignition timing. Went for 1.7 bar and the tyres strated to spin up, game over. So at the moment, 1.5 […]

Carbonetic Clutch

Got to say the Carbonetic triple plate clutch is absolutely fantastic, so smooth on take up and no snatchiness whatsoever. Not bad for a clutch that can take 1200bhp! Highly recommend these babies now I’ve felt them for myself, they do a twin plate version as well which will take 900bhp which is a tad […]

Airbox & Intercooler Pipe

Carbonetic Carbon Clutch & Hypertune 2JZ inlet manifold

Been busy putting the engine back together which as you can see from the below pictures is all done and in the car. I changed over to a Carbonetic triple plate clutch as my old RPS carbon carbon was worn out plus the pressure plate had started to fall apart! Not an expense I was […]

Engine is stripped

Quick update. Fully stripped the engine today, looks like a piston has got a tad hot and broke a piston ring. This in turn has caused a bit of cylinder head damage, nothing to drastic, head just needs a bit of a clean up. So another block and a set of pistons it is then. […]

Stroker is staying put

Right, I’ve decided to stick with the stroker kit, I haven’t taken the engine apart yet so I still dont know exactly whats happened to it but pretty sure it’ll be melted pistons. Also I’ll be going over to a Solaris ECU, will be working together with Ryan to get it installed as soon as […]

Time Attack Brands Hatch 2009 2nd Place

/

With some great results so far and a long break to come until the final round, the team was looking to add to their points at their favorite circuit, Brands Hatch. Paul Whiffin would not be driving the deadly stealth bomber at this round due to suspected piston failure. This was a real shame as […]

Thanks to Ben Weeks

Big thanks to Ben Weeks as he’s kindly going to lend me his car for Sunday now. Got quite a few things to do on it over the next few days though, going to be busy busy busy. Gearbox, front lower arm, tracking, remapping, rear arb links, brake pads, bleed, etc.

Engine problem

Not good news I’m afraid, think the engines melted a piston. It started using a bit of oil at Silverstone and when leaving Brands last night it chucked a bit of blue smoke out the exhaust. Done a compression test today and that was fine but leak down test showed 85% leak by on no. […]
